Janice Ingalls was one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She was sweet and generous to a fault and I miss her greatly. She taught grade school (2nd grade, I think) for many years, and I can only imagine the number of children whose life she enriched.
All these pictures were taken while we were on a cross country driving trip which took us to the Grand Canyon up past the Little Big Horn into Canada. While in Canada we traveled to her birthplace in Regina, Saskatchewan and then looped around back south to see Lake Superior and thence home. This was the last chance I had to spend a large amount of time with her before her marriage, after which we were not able to see each other very often. We had a great time and I will always remember this trip with happiness tinted by a little sadness.

Here she is standing on a little rock at the Grand Canyon, behind her is a several hundred foot drop, but since I stood on it for my photo she didn't want to seem chicken so she ventured forth as well.

Here she is at the Little Bighorn Battlefield Memorial. The shadow that Janice is looking at is the cenotaph in the left-hand picture. I like the fact that the person to Janice's right is holding exactly the same pose. The little wooden sign in front of Janice says "Mass Grave: Do Not Stand On Grass".

These were taken in Canada while on the road to Regina. They were taken outside Gull Lake and Moose Jaw. As can be seen in these pictures, Saskatchewan is Canada's answer to Kansas.
These were taken in Regina on the street where Janice was a wee child. The lower picture is my favorite picture that I have of her.
I believe that this one was taken in Minnesota at the headwaters of the Mighty Mississippi.
Well, those are the only photos that I have...RIP Puffster
